The story of Cyberpunk 2077 is already known to just about everyone: what started as a buggy mess that many a disaster tourist has spewed his bile about, has eventually evolved into a great futuristic RPG that has now also become a successful expansion has been given. Currently, developer CD Projekt RED is focusing on A sequel And it is hoped that the franchise can eventually experience a true evolution.
In an interview with PC Gamer Igor Sarzyński of CD Projekt RED talks about the future of the series. He makes the comparison with that other big franchise to their name: yes, The Witcher. The first Witcher game also had a lot of flaws, but in the end, that series also grew enormously.
“Consider The Witcher games and how much they changed with each installment. We want a similar evolution here.
Cyberpunk 2077 was our first venture into a futuristic-sci-fi world with a ton of new gameplay mechanics, narrative tone, themes, and art direction. Some of the stuff worked almost right out of the box, such as the art, city design, music, interactive scene system, playstyles. Other aspects took more time to get right, like character progression, NPC interactivity, and optimisation. That’s natural; it’s impossible to nail everything on your first try.”
Indeed, it’s impossible to get everything right the first time, so hopefully the team will learn from their mistakes so that the second Cyberpunk game will be an instant hit!
