The Game Awards will be distributed on December 7 and the annual show will probably be full of announcements, trailers, news and commercials again this year. Geoff Keighley will be on stage as always and will be our host, and during a Q&A session, he has estimated how long the show will last.
He couldn’t give an exact duration, but The Game Awards 2023 will be about as long as last year’s edition in terms of length, when it took us about 3.5 hours. Hopefully there won’t be any this year Stage Invasions nor lengthy speeches by Christopher Judge to fill the time, but we will only notice that on the day itself.
“I don’t want to quote a number, because then it’s going to reverberate on the internet… but it’s probably similar to past years in terms of the length of the show and content. We went a little bit shorter last year, or we tried to, but then Chris Judge took his sweet time with his speech. It’s probably going to be similar to last year with a little bit shorter show.”
In terms of announcements and content, this edition will also be at about the same level as 2022. In any case, we do know that the Xbox Series X|S release date of Baldur’s Gate 3 will be revealed, and Death Stranding 2 may also appear on the scene.
