In February 2020, it was revealed that Rockstar Games co-founder Dan Houser had replaced the developer leave. After three years of silence, he announced in June this year that he had founded the studio Absurd Ventures. A new studio that will deal with all kinds of entertainment, not just games.
It has been quiet for another six months, but there may now be something in the pipeline. There are two trademarks registered under Absurd Ventures: American Caper and A Better Paradise. These trademarks were already registered on July 28, 2023, but have only now become known.
It doesn’t say much, but interestingly, the Chief Operation Offering, Wendy Smith, recently in an interview with Variety indicated that they will soon come up with several announcements about projects they are working on. And next week, of course, it’s time for The Game Awards.
Now that trademarks are popping up, it could just be that Dan Houser’s studio will come up with one or more announcements during that event. If that’s the case, you can of course read about it here on PlaySense.
